Who We Are

Experience Spanning Back 50 Years

BYD is a dynamic company built on a heritage of marine experience spanning back 50 years. We are committed to continually enhancing our design process and procedures, as well as how we deliver these to the client. We work closely with the Owner and Builder to develop and deliver practical engineering solutions that meet the clients requirements. We have built the company on 3 principles: Quality, Process and Complete Support.

Vision & Mission

Advancing the Industry

We provide a premium marine design and engineering service, continually striving for improvement in the way that we work as well as the build processes from the hull and structure to the way we lay out and integrate systems to the interior layout of the vessel.

While keeping the operational duties of the vessel at the forefront we use a mix of software and engineering experience to develop a vessel that can meet its brief while being optimised throughout the design process to ensure the completed product is a practical solution that meets the requirements of its environment. Our mission is to contribute to the advancement of the marine industry by fostering new ideas and innovation and helping them grow until they are successfully implemented in a vessel or used as an experience tool to take to the next iteration.
